Failed

FAILED I have failed you, when you needed me most I failed you, I failed to protect you, I am your rock, your protector and I failed to protect you, it came in the night when we were asleep, I could only sit and watch you fighting, in the ambulance watching you as you said “I’m all right” when you clearly weren’t, at the hospital sitting holding your hand, with tubes and wires as you fought again, drifting in and out of consciousness your life teetering on the edge, I felt helpless, angry and distraught as I thought I would lose you, my heart being torn apart, for weeks as you slowly fought your way back, the months o

This is a long overdue update. Since my wife's major stroke in September 2015 she spent seven months in hospital, one month in the stroke unit and six months in the neuro rehab unit, she will never walk again or be able to use her right arm and hand. So now we have moved to a bungalow and had major building work carried out to make it suitable for my wife and her wheelchair. She has learnt to write with her left hand and now it no longer looks like it's been written by a drunken spider. In February this year I had a bad chest infection which required a visit to the doctors after nearly blacking out when coughing, just a viral infection and it

A Tribute

I got some sad news today, the tattoo artist who had done two of my tattoos has died, don't know any details but he was only in his early thirties, and a really kind funny guy,  a friend too, feeling very sad .

how are you and your family? a long time not heard, my friend :D (Big Grin) Heart
Hi there Patty, it has been a long time and a lot has happened, eight weeks ago my wife had a massive stroke in her sleep, she's in hospital now and slowly recovering, I've been visiting her twice a day since it happened, I'm still going to work on a part time basis, but it leavesvery little time for anything else. Starting next week I'm going to be working full time for three days then every Thursday until Christmas I've booked as holiday and thFridays I'm working half a day, should give me some time to catch up with other things.
Our holiday to Germany this year was very good, we went to the Kinheim Strassenfest again, enjoying some good food and wine, and stocking up on some too. While we were away we had two really big thunder storms, they were quite spectacular, though the noise of the rain on the roof of the motorhome and the fact that we had to have all the windows and roof vents shut made for a very poor nights sleep.
I hope things with you are good and that you are keeping well.

Hi there, Peter,

That's not nice to hear, but I am pleased that your dear wife slowly recovered from the stroke!
I had a serious heart attack (incl. Heart failure, but the Level 1) and I am glad to live last year on 2 May, so I recover still of Ergo, Physo, psychologist, etc.
But I can pull the well by fully how are you doing and what sacrifices you have to bring, for those who you love, but you need and makes it so happy!
I can not work .... and with you, it is now necessary to classify as your work because you have to tackle at home and do much.
Is certainly not easy to know which with my Mam and Dd (both died) ... I wish you both all the best and all my good wishes!

Oh yes yes I know camper vans, once had one for a few years, it is just great and in storm and rain I could best fall asleep, lol.
The mobile home is really good for the travel, you do not define themselves as in hotels and pensions.

I hope we hear from each other again and take good care of you ...
Dear Greetings Patty
